Responsible for greenhouse production & operation and maintaining of flowerbeds. Assists in all horticulture activities assigned, to include landscaping, lawn and plant care and related functions. Provides training for other Horticulturists and Groundskeepers.
1. Exhibits regular and punctual attendance.
2. Assists in landscaping activities as assigned.
3. Assists in lawn and plant care activities as assigned.
4. Maintains Green House and planting activities.
5. Maintains all flower beds on campus activity buildings.
6. Assists in provision of education concerning care of flowers and plants.
7. Assists in providing training and direction for residents participating in horticulture activities, to include safety training.
8. Assists in maintaining equipment and shop area as assigned.
9. Provides training for Groundskeepers as needed.
10. Scouting of insects, weeds, diseases and deficiencies of flowers and plants.
11. Exhibits appropriate interaction with residents.
Requirements
1. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is preferred.
2. Experience in greenhouse production & flowerbed maintenance preferred.
3. Proficiency in general horticulture equipment operation is required.
4. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-oriented skills.
5. Must be at least 21 years of age.
6. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
7. Must be available for travel as needed.
